The stile feet original also and continuous with the carcase and with original pegged joints throughout, original backboards in walnut and original, very beautiful, three board solid walnut top with carved moulded border.
The four graduated drawers open and close smoothly and properly. There are a few old and well blended repairs, normal for age and use and professional work which is very difficult to notice. Some old worm holes and small depletions - long since treated and dead, solid and not affecting structure.
Lovely small and compact proportions, solid, very heavy and robust and an absolutely charming early chest of drawers in rarely seen solid walnut tree.
