Full Description
Georgian Cellarette – c. 1820 – property of a titled lady and coming from probate of her estate. It has a particularly good colour and is in excellent condition.
A very nice example. The only slight flaw I have found are some dings along the ebonised moulding at the front of the top – where people have, over the centuries, used this to raise the lid rather than reaching down below the main lip. It is genuine and explicable wear and not unpleasant, and most people wouldn’t notice it.
Good colour, weight and provenance and the condition is very good throughout,
