William & Mary Fine Quality Marquetry Table c. 1680

English and made c. 1680 the marquetry set in an ebony ground and of exceptional quality. The dove with pewter eye in the manner of Thomas Pistor of Ludgate Hill.

Each element individual and very beautiful with many flowers and foliage. The green leaves are stained ivory. The whole set in walnut banded reserves and with single oak lined drawer and brass drop handles. The stretcher with central cartouche of marquetry. Turned supports in walnut and terminating in bun feet.
